IT for dental practices

Sensors that stay connected.
Images that stay saved.
Operatories that stay up.

Dental IT is its own animal — imaging sensors, PMS databases, intraoral cameras, and digital x-ray hardware all have to talk to each other flawlessly, every time. We've spent years in Alaskan dental offices speaking all of it.

Dental-specific pain points

If any of these sound painfully familiar, we should talk.

"
The sensor disconnects mid-bitewing.

We engineer sensor reliability from the USB stack and driver layer all the way up to the PMS integration. Dropped images, flaky connections, and "try the other operatory" stop happening.

"
Our imaging database is too big to back up.

Dental imaging backups break general-purpose IT strategies. We design around the realities — large files, long retention, and the legal obligation to actually have them in five years.

"
The operatory workstation crawls between patients.

We tune hardware, drivers, and network paths specifically for the PMS you run. Startup and image-open times drop, and your assistants stop building hold-times into the schedule.

"
Monday morning starts with the PMS being down.

Proactive server and database monitoring catches failures before your 8 AM hygiene block. If something needs attention Sunday night, we've already handled it.

What's included

Managed IT built for the operatory.

Every service below is designed around how dental offices actually work — imaging workflows, insurance claim systems, and the shared PMS database that everyone depends on.

01

Sensor & imaging integration

Dexis, Schick, Carestream, XDR, Sirona — we handle driver updates, PMS integration, and operatory-specific reliability tuning.

02

PMS support & tuning

Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve, Denticon. We work with the vendor's team on escalations but handle the daily stuff faster than their support line.

03

Imaging backup strategy

Backup schedules designed for huge imaging databases — incremental offsite copies, verified restores, and retention that meets your legal obligations.

04

Operatory workstation deployment

New ops? New workstations? We handle imaging, joining, PMS configuration, and sensor calibration so your team walks in and just works.

05

Separated guest Wi-Fi

Patients get reliable Wi-Fi, clinical network stays isolated, and your PMS server never shares a broadcast domain with someone's phone.

06

HIPAA compliance

Risk assessments, encryption, access controls, training, and BAAs — documented properly so your practice stays audit-ready.

Software we support

We speak your PMS — and your imaging stack.

Running something niche? Ask us. We've probably supported it somewhere.

Compliance & trust

HIPAA, but built for the way dentistry actually works.

Dental practices have distinct compliance realities — imaging retention, shared operatory workstations, POS systems running on clinical networks. We build policies around those realities, not generic templates.

HIPAA Security Rule

Administrative, physical, and technical safeguards implemented across the practice.

Imaging retention

Retention schedules aligned to state record-keeping requirements, with encrypted storage.

Risk assessments

Annual SRAs with remediation plans, refreshed after any major infrastructure change.

BAAs & vendor management

We sign BAAs ourselves and help chase them down from every vendor touching PHI.

Common questions

Questions we hear a lot.

Can you migrate our PMS database?

Yes — we've migrated Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental databases between servers and into the cloud. We plan migrations for after-hours or weekends so you don't lose clinical time, and we run verification queries before switching over.

What about multi-location practices?

We support multi-location setups with centralized PMS, VPN or SD-WAN between offices, and standardized imaging across operatories. Your front desk in one office can check-in a patient arriving at the other.

Do you work with CBCT / 3D imaging?

Yes. CBCT workflows have specific storage and networking requirements — we make sure the imaging workstation, shared storage, and backup strategy are all sized for the file volumes you actually produce.

What does onboarding look like?

Free consultation, free environment assessment, then a tailored proposal. If you move forward, we handle the migration work quietly in the background. No onboarding fees, no long-term contracts.

How fast is response time?

Critical issues (PMS down, imaging offline) get a human within 15 minutes during business hours, and rapid escalation after hours. For non-urgent tickets, same-day is standard.

Let's get your practice on calm, reliable IT.

Free consultation. No sales pressure. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so — and point you to someone who is.
